Roots to Rise is a telehealth practice. Every session happens by secure video, wherever you are in Colorado. You meet with us from your own home, in your own chair, with your own tea and your own dog at your feet.
That is the design of this practice, not a workaround. There is no waiting room and no drive. No arranging childcare, no burning half a workday on a fifty-minute appointment, and no chance of running into a neighbor in the parking lot. For a woman who is already running on empty, taking those obstacles away is often the difference between starting therapy and putting it off for another year.
It also means distance stops deciding who gets care. We are based in Cañon City, and we work with women in Colorado communities where the nearest therapist is a long drive away.
Who We Work With
We see women and girls 16 and older. Most of the people who find us are carrying some version of the same thing. They have been holding everything together for everyone else, and it has cost more than they expected.
- Exhaustion and Burnout
Chronic stress, depletion, and the particular tiredness that comes from being the one who holds it all together. - Trauma and Life Transitions
Stored experience that keeps surfacing, or a season of change that left you unsure who you are now. - Inherited Belief
Questions about what you were taught about your worth, your body, and your obedience. - Neurodivergent and Highly Sensitive Clients
ADHD, autistic, still figuring it out, or told your whole life that you feel too much.
How Sessions Work
Sessions are one to one over a secure video connection. You get a link. You click it at your appointment time, and we talk. You do not need special software, a fast connection, or any particular skill with technology.
We keep this practice small on purpose. A low caseload means you are not being squeezed into a gap in an overloaded schedule, and it means we can work at the pace the work actually asks for. We hold evening appointments and a limited number of weekend appointments, because the women we serve are usually the ones a daytime-only practice leaves out.
Starting Is Low Risk
Before you commit to anything, we offer a free introductory consultation. It is a short conversation about what you are looking for and whether this is the right place for it. There is no paperwork, and no expectation that you schedule afterward.
We bill in network through a third-party insurance platform, so you can check your coverage before your first session. A sliding scale is available for clients who pay privately. If it turns out we are not the right fit, we will help you find someone who is.
You do not have to be in crisis to belong here.
