I offer trauma-informed couples therapy for partners who feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in the same painful patterns.
In our work, we'll explore the histories and stories each of you brings into the relationship, drawing on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Cognitive-Behavioral Couple Therapy, and somatic, whole-person approaches. We'll make sense of the emotions and attachment needs underneath the conflict, while building practical skills for communicating, solving problems, and noticing the thoughts that keep you stuck.
Along the way, I'll help you let go of what no longer fits and build a relationship rooted in safety, connection, and the freedom to keep choosing each other. I see couples by telehealth anywhere in Colorado.
What Brings Couples In
- The Loop
A fight that ends the same way every time, no matter what it started about. - Drifting Apart
Less conflict than distance. You are polite, busy, and lonely in the same room. - A Big Transition
A move, a baby, an illness, a loss, a job change, or a faith shift that changed the ground under both of you. - A Breach of Trust
Something happened, and neither of you knows how to talk about it without making it worse. - Different Nervous Systems
One of you needs to talk it through right now, and the other needs space before they can say anything at all.
How Sessions Work
- By Video
Sessions are held by secure video. Most couples join together from the same room. If that is not possible for you, bring it up during the free consultation. - Both Partners in Colorado
Licensure is about where you are sitting. Both of you need to be physically located in Colorado during each session. - Every Kind of Couple
Married, partnered, dating, queer, trans, nonbinary, or still working out the words for it. You are welcome here. - Cost and Coverage
A self-pay couples session is $160. Insurance coverage for couples sessions varies by plan, so check your benefits before you book.
When Couples Therapy Is Not the Right First Step
If you are afraid of your partner, or if there is physical violence, threats, or control in the relationship, couples therapy is not a safe place to start. Individual support comes first. You can reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline at any hour by calling (800) 799-7233 or texting START to 88788. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
Not sure whether this is the right fit for the two of you? That is what the free 20-minute consultation is for.
